Biography

When I opened my practice in Decatur in August 1999, I knew that I was
embarking on a great new adventure. I have watched children grow from infants to
beginning kindergarten and from starting high school to leaving for college. The
years have flown by.

It has been a privilege to serve the children of North Texas and be a part of their
lives. I have worked with children in many capacities since I was a teenager. I
babysat when I was young, taught daycare in college, and discovered my love for
pediatrics while in medical school at the University of Oklahoma. I came to Texas
in 1996 for my pediatric residency training at Scott & White in Temple. My
husband Barry and I then felt God leading us to Decatur.

We have enjoyed our time in Wise County and we are involved in many different
community activities. However, most of our free time is now spent playing with
our son, who was born in May 2006.

I look forward to establishing a relationship with your child and your family. My
role is to help your child grow into a healthy adult. Not only will I give
immunizations and treat illness, but as they develop I will help guide them to make
healthy choices.

The relationship between a child and their pediatrician is an important one. I look
forward to getting started on a healthy future together.
